A significant milestone in Odisha's journey towards strengthening early cancer detection.

On 08 June 2026, a review and rollout meeting was conducted at CHC Ghasipura, marking the second block level implementation following the successful initiation in Jhumpura Block, Keonjhar. The meeting brought together ASHAs, CHOs, ANMs, and other key stakeholders who will play a pivotal role in advancing community based cancer screening and improving the quality of Community Based Assessment Checklist (CBAC) data collection.
The discussions focused on strengthening field level implementation, enhancing the accuracy of risk assessment, and ensuring timely identification and referral of individuals at risk. Through collective commitment and capacity building, this initiative aims to bring early detection closer to communities and improve cancer outcomes across Odisha.
